Access panels are used to gain access in walls and ceilings. There are many different models available to accommodate every situation which exist in Industrial, institutional, Commercial, and Residential buildings.
Below are 3 most common types of access panels purchased:
Non rated access panel. They come standard with a screwdriver operated cam latch.
A cylinder lock and keyed access is available upon request.
Fire rated access panel. All units are self-closing by the use of springs on the inside the panel. All units include insulated doors and are rated for 1-1/2 to 2 hour fire rated walls.
Models vary by manufacturer therefore does the locking device. Available options include: Flush Key, Knurled Knob, and Keyed Cylinder Paddle Latch
Exterior Access Panel. All units have insulated doors and weather gasketing between the door and door frame.
Models vary by manufacturer therefore does the locking device. Available options include: Screwdriver turn cam latch, cylinder lock with keys, Keyed Cylinder Paddle Latch, Locking and Non-Locking Handles.
