Aluminum access ladders are fastened to interior and exterior walls of buildings to gain access to roofs from the ground level. They can also be used to gain access to upper roofs from lower roofs with and without platforms, handrails, and return ladders. Since aluminum access ladders are lightweight, corrosion resistant, and manufactured with serrated rungs, they are considered a safer and better option over steel access ladders.
All ladders include:
- Floor mount brackets
- 1,500 pound weight compacity per rung
- Mill finished aluminum
Optional features such as security doors, off floor mounting brackets, fall arrest systems and painted finishes are available for purchase as well. See optional products at the bottom of the page.
Roof hatch access ladders are just that, ladders for access to personal use roof hatches. These are simple straight ladders that require one intermediate bracket for every 10′ span (as shown).
Low parapet ladders are used when the distance from the top of the parapet to the roof below is less than 14″. The handrails extend 42″ above the top rung giving the user something to grab onto while at the top of the ladder.
Similar to the above parapet ladders these units have return ladders and platforms. This kind of unit is required when the distance from the ladder platform to the roof below exceeds 14″. 42″ tall guard rails around the platform gives the user something to grab onto and is intended to prevent the user from falling off either side of it. Just like with all of the other ladders, the return ladder can be manufactured to meet any required length.
